DEAD HORSE BAY

These garments are inspired by the landscape of Dead Horse Bay landfill in Brooklyn, NY. The plastic bags and saturated glass shards littering the shoreline are translated into trapunto quilting, slashing, and water-soluble embroidery of scraps collected. Photography by Taylor James.
